Sunday Worship: September 20, 2026 | "We Want to Meet Jesus"
Aaron Atchley
In John 12:20–26, the request “We want to meet Jesus” invites us to encounter him again, even if we have known his name and stories all our lives. Jesus points us toward the cross, where his glory is revealed in self-giving love and his death brings new life to the world. Before Jesus asks anything of us, he gives himself for us—grace comes first. As we receive that grace, we are called to follow him, trusting him even when love costs us something and we cannot see where it leads. Through our forgiveness, patience, and willingness to notice and listen to others, we can help people glimpse the Jesus they may be longing to meet. Together, we look toward the cross to see who Jesus is and listen for his invitation: “Follow me.”
