Sunday Worship: November 8, 2026: "Empowered Through Grace"
We learn from Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 8 that generosity grows from the grace we have received. The Macedonian churches, even in hardship, first gave themselves to the Lord and then shared generously with others. Paul urges the Corinthians to follow through on their commitment, offering willingly and according to what they have. Christ’s self-giving love is the source of our generosity: we share because we have first received grace. We are invited to respond in concrete ways—with our presence, service, gifts and experience, financial generosity as we are able, and prayers. Our worship can hold together gratitude, joy, and response as we consider what God has placed in our hands. As we move from receiving grace toward investing what we have been given, we trust God to make it a blessing for our neighbors and the world.
