Back to the Basics: "Holy Spirit" 10-3021

We'll explore the person and nature of the Holy Spirit and how the Spirit acts in creation, to guide God's people, to empower the Church and to bring us "new life." There is no Church without Pentecost and the "gift of the Spirit to the Church, and without the gifts of the Spirit we, the Church, are unable to image God and carry on the work of the Son. Among other works, the Spirit of God teaches us, guides us, strengthens us, comforts and assures us. We'll explore why we are sometimes reluctant to ask for the Spirit and why the depths of God's love and goodness are found in the Spirit's gifts to us!
